Same zero, opposite road. Diet colas get to zero with artificial sweeteners designed in a lab. Kaanjia gets there with pure monk fruit, a small green fruit that is naturally about 200 times sweeter than sugar. Nothing artificial in the bottle, and even the crimson colour is just beetroot doing its thing.
Because we price Kaanjia like a soft drink, not a wellness product, there is almost no margin in a ₹25 bottle. Shipping bottles one by one would push the price past ₹30 and break the whole point. No. Pasteurisation, natural tanginess (the acidity keeps bad microbes out) and stable sweeteners give Kaanjia a 3-month shelf life at room temperature. It tastes best chilled, but it doesn't need a fridge to stay good, not in the truck, not in the shop, not at home.
No alcohol. The brew is pasteurised after fermentation, then the probiotic is added back in. It's a soft drink: fizzy, tangy, zero sugar and zero calories.
